Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - FMCG Manufacturing
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Salary: £46,000 to £52,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Day Shifts)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance a top-rated manufacturer of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) based in Ipswich, Suffolk. This role is perfect for an experienced engineer looking to work with high-speed production and packaging machinery, where you’ll play a crucial part in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting production improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on high-speed production and packaging machinery, as well as associated process plant.
- Utilise PLC fault-finding skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
- Identify and resolve electrical issues swiftly to minimise downtime.
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to support ongoing machine reliability.
- Support site-wide and production line improvement projects, driving efficiency and innovation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Competence in electrical fault-finding and PLC troubleshooting.
- Previous experience within a high-speed manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on minimising downtime.
