Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stroud
Hours: 39 hours per week – double days shift rotation
Salary: £42,735 per annum
Benefits: 23 days holiday, pension, sick pay, bonus scheme, and other benefits
Our client operates a small production facility situated just outside Stroud, where they manufacture and bottle soft drinks in the picturesque Cotswolds. With a dedicated team of approximately 40 employees, they pride themselves on delivering high-quality premium products.
Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Engineer, your primary focus will be to minimize line downtime through proactive planned preventative maintenance and swift resolution of any arising issues. Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role, especially in a sometimes pressured environment.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in reading electrical drawings and fault-finding.
- Possession of the 18th Edition qualification is preferred.
- Experience with control systems and the ability to analyse inputs & outputs; programming skills in PLC would be highly advantageous.
- Performing routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs), including tasks such as lubrication, seal replacements, meter readings, bearing replacements, and conveyor component maintenance.
- Computer literacy, particularly in Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and inventory management systems.
- Competence in mechanical and pneumatic fault-finding.
- Ability to diagnose faults in 3-phase electric motors and pumps.
- Experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).
