Salary: Circa ££40-£55k per annum plus car allowance
Role: My client are a successful, family owned and growing main contractor who are looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team in the Somerset and Dorset region to support additional workload and work winning. This role will involve regular site visits, overseeing a portfolio of projects from circa £250k-£1m with site based, site managers/supervisors or working foreman reporting in. Projects include fit out, refurbishment and maintenance of schools, county council properties, local authority buildings and commercial schemes.
Reporting into an Area Manager and working alongside a Quantity Surveyor.
Individual:
- Must be experienced in main contracting or facilities management, small work contracts
- Good all-round construction knowledge
- Experience with contract values £250k-£1m running concurrently, liaising with project dedicated QS and Site Managers
- Knowledge of CDM
- Responsible for the management of all on-site teams, ensuring programme is on track
- Responsible for preparing construction programmes and construction phase plans
- Responsible for producing progress reports and representing the company at monthly project meetings
- Supporting site teams with H&S, RAMS
- Supporting the commercial team with procurement and programming
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 Apps and Microsoft Project
- NVQ level 6 minimum
- SMSTS, First Aid, H&S training, Temporary Works Coordinator
- Car driver as this is a roaming role between sites.
- Must be happy with daily travel to sites in Somerset and Dorset.
