A leading manufacturer is seeking a Junior Mechanical Applications Engineer to join its team.

The Role
My client is looking for a Junior Mechanical Application Engineer with a hands-on approach and a positive attitude to join the team. This role is ideal for someone with a recent engineering qualification looking to gain practical experience across various functions within the business. You will work closely with different departments, gaining exposure to quality assurance, CNC machining, assembly, pattern making, and laser machine operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Control: Support the quality team by inspecting components and ensuring products meet company standards.
• CNC Machining: Operate CNC machines and assist with machining processes to create precision components.
• Assembly: Participate in the assembly of mechanical products, gaining experience in production workflows.
• Pattern Making: Support the creation of patterns and templates as required for production.
• Laser Machine Operation: Operate and maintain laser machines, ensuring safe and efficient handling of all materials.

The Candidate
Holds a mechanical-biased engineering qualification

Experience working on manual machines
Any CNC or Laser knowledge would be beneficial

Able to read engineering drawings

A hands-on proactive attitude

Able to work well in a team and independently

Open to learn new skills

The Package
The salary for this position is £20,000–£25,000 for candidates who meet all key qualifications and competencies.
