Job Title: Design Manager (Rail/Civil Engineering)
Location: Bristol (CP7 Framework)
Rate: £450 - £500 per day

We are looking for an experienced Design Manager to join a Tier 1 contractor on the CP7 framework in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a Design Manager with a background in rail or civil engineering to contribute to a high-profile project on a long-term basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Oversee the design elements of the CP7 framework, ensuring that design work meets client specifications, project timelines, and quality standards.
• Coordination & Collaboration: Act as a primary point of contact between design teams, project management, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
• Design Review & Compliance: Ensure all design processes are in compliance with regulatory standards, particularly within the rail and civil engineering sectors.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage design risks proactively, implementing solutions to address any design-related issues efficiently.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all design activities, provide regular project status updates, and document changes effectively.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Sector Experience: Proven experience in design management within the rail or civil engineering sectors, ideally with a strong understanding of Network Rail standards.
• Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with CP7 framework requirements and standards.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of design software and processes relevant to rail and civil engineering projects.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive in identifying solutions to design challenges and able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
