Day-to-day of the role
- As a CNC Setter, you will be machining a range of sealing products in plastic and rubber materials to the required quality standards, while meeting appropriate deadlines.
- Setting and operating 3-axis CNC machinery.
- Creating, loading, and modifying CNC programs.
- Carrying out inspection of one's own work and final inspection on others.
- Ensuring all parts are manufactured to drawing and specified tolerances.
- Managing work scheduling, stock, and calibration.
- Performing other general workshop duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Setter, particularly in environments that require a mix of small and large batch production.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Jetcam NUM controls.
- Strong ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Competence in using measuring equipment such as vernier calipers, height gauges, and micrometers.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
