About the role

This friendly local authority school is looking for a Class Teacher for a Year 1 class. As a class teacher you will undertake all responsibilities expected, but with the strong support of a very experienced colleague in the adjacent class. If you have KS2 experience and have always liked the idea of trying KS1, this is a great opportunity! The role is a two term contract from January 2025.

Based on the north edge of Cambridge, this is a thriving and happy school where the children are central to all that they do, and benefits from the support of a committed leadership team. They are a Christian school with approximately 250 children on roll - so not a big city school!

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Year 1 Teacher you will:

• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Primary Teachers
• Have a passion for teaching with the ability to cover pre prepared work set by the full time teacher
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

As Year 1 Teacher you will be responsible for:

• Full Class Teacher role, paid to scale

Salary

£31,650 to £43,606 per year

Pro-rata for two terms

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• Teaching experience with QTS from ECT to highly experienced teachers
