Are you an experienced Surface Grinder looking for a new opportunity?

Our client, a specialist, manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Surface Grinder to join their specialist team of machinists.

As the Surface Grinder you role will be to produce parts to fulfil assembly, aftermarket and spares.

• Producing complex components according to specification requirements
• Operating a large Coburg manual surface grinder, using Siemens controls
• Grinding large complex components, using flat bed grinding and surface grinding
• Setting components, grinding wheels, jigs, fixtures, rotary chuck
• Working and measuring to very tight tolerances

Ideal candidates will have the following experience;

• Apprentice trained, time served engineer
• Experienced Surface Grinder
• Ability to use metrology equipment
• Applying knowledge of materials and machining methods
• Working with minimal supervision and plan work effectively to achieve KPI’s
• Experience of working on bespoke parts to stringent geometric tolerances

As Surface Grinder there is a number of different shifts available, Monday to Friday, so my client is happy to discuss at interview.

You will expect a salary of around £16.43p/hr + shift allowance (10%, 20%, 33.33%) + 28 days hol + 8 statutory, great pension, life assurance (5 x salary), HealthShield, enhanced maternity & paternity policies, free carpark + more.
