Financial Controller – Manufacturing Sector

Are you a skilled Financial Controller with a background in manufacturing, ready to take charge and add immediate value? We’re seeking an independent, proactive FC to join a fast-paced team, with the current year-end approaching.

About the Role:

• Immediate Impact: With the current FC departing, this role is critical to ensuring a smooth handover and strong financial oversight.
• Broad Financial Responsibility: Oversee day-to-day accounting, management accounts, and year-end processes across four distinct entities, all on Sage 200.
• Profitability Analysis: Assess and report on the viability of each entity within the group, from manufacturing and after-sales to hydraulic and parts recovery.
• Proactive Financial Management: Provide strategic insight to avoid unexpected issues and maintain full visibility for the Managing Director.
• Lead & Support: Manage and mentor a small team, creating a cohesive finance function with clear, reliable processes.

Ideal Candidate:

• Manufacturing Expertise: Significant experience in the manufacturing sector with strong financial control and management accounting skills.
• Qualified Accountant: ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Sage 200 Proficiency: Familiar with Sage 200 and able to optimise its functions.
• Self-Starter: No hand-holding required – we need someone who can take the lead from day one.
• Strategic Thinker: A keen eye for assessing profitability and offering valuable insight to inform business decisions.
