We are seeking a friendly and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our team and provide top-tier service at our client's establishments.

The successful candidate will support food preparation, serve staff members, and ensure a clean and welcoming environment.

This role is perfect for someone passionate about food service and customer care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and serving food and beverages to staff
• Keep the canteen clean, organised, and well-stocked throughout the day
• Operate the till, handle cash transactions, and process payments accurately
• Ensure food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards in all food handling and preparation
• Support stock control and rotation, receiving deliveries and organising inventory
• Provide friendly customer service, responding to staff inquiries and requests
• Assist with setting up and clearing tables, as well as basic cleaning duties

Requirements:

• Previous experience in catering or food service is preferred, but not essential
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and follow instructions
• High attention to cleanliness and food safety standards
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and lunch service
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene practices (training will be provided)
