About the Technical Assistant job

The purpose of your role will be to assist the Technical Manager with total compliance in audit and technical matters and also be part of the implementation team for their new food quality control system.

Key tasks

• Support the Technical Manager in transitioning from a paper-based system to a new quality management system.
• Assist with enquiries from suppliers, customers, public bodies, and members of public.
• Ensure Health and Safety legislation is adhered to and policies enforced on site.
• Calibration of all equipment is certificated and current.
• Assist with the review and audit of site, working practices, hygiene, personnel, product, and packaging.

About You

You will have 2-3 years’ experience within a technical function in a food manufacturing environment.  In addition:

• Competency in IT skills, mainly Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.
• Communicate clearly and calmly, ensuring issues are dealt with.
• Must have good punctuation, spelling, grammar and numeracy.

More details

The Technical Assistant job is based in Waltham Abbey and is paying to £30,000 according to your experience.  The role is for a one year contract but it may well go permanent. The working times are normal office hours, Monday to Friday.

The site is commutable from Epping, Bishop’s Stortford, Waltham Abbey, Hertford, Waltham Cross, Chelmsford and Hoddeson.
