MMP Consultancy currently has an opportunity for an interim Head of Building Safety and Compliance to join a housing association in Surrey. £85,000 to £90,000 per annum.

Reporting To: Assistant Director AIS
Role Purpose:
- Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership/manage change before
- 4 direct reports but likely to be a restructure in future which will reduce this to 3.
- Must have an awareness of each discipline - gas, electric, lifts, asbestos, fire - must be able to demonstrate an understanding of each area
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Uphold clients Values, Behaviours & Leadership expectations at all times (see overleaf).
- Line management for the Head of Compliance & Engineering, Fire Safety Surveyor, Asbestos Safety Surveyor, Health & Safety Manager
- Compliance with all statutory, regulatory and Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) requirements associated with building safety and the compliance function, ("Big 6").
- Lead and comply with all statutory, regulatory and Approved Code of Practice requirements associated with the health and safety function.
- Leading on the implementation of new framework contracts for delivery
- Overseeing the building inspection programmes
- Lead on the provision of accurate, reliable building safety and compliance data and systems to inform he provision of safe homes for our residents.
- Providing competent and specialist updates and management system developments on the regulatory framework
- Meet the decent home standards with well maintained homes and estates via the delivery of mechanical and engineering major works programme.
- Act as the Building Safety Manager and the Responsible Person for asset compliance and occupational safety and health. Providing specialist advice, compiling regular reports for
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Diploma.
- CIOB Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety
- Management or be working towards.
