Job Title: Family Law Solicitor

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Family Law Solicitor to join our team, handling a variety of private family matters, including private children cases, divorce proceedings, and financial remedy cases. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to work in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of private family matters, with a focus on children’s issues, divorce, and financial remedy cases.
  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients, ensuring the highest standards of service.
  • Work efficiently and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare and present cases in family courts with solid advocacy skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and meet or exceed billing and time recording targets.
  • Communicate complex legal issues clearly to clients, ensuring they understand their options and the implications.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to the success of the team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in accordance with Lexcel standards.
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid advocacy experience in family law matters.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify legal jargon for clients.
  • Demonstrable success in meeting or surpassing billing and time recording targets.
  • A positive reference from your current or previous employer.
  • Experience in TOLATA (Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act) or cohabitee disputes (desirable).
  • Membership with Resolution (desirable).
  • Experience in international family law (desirable).
  • Law Society Family or Advanced Family accreditation (desirable).
