Fabricator

Competitive Rate £16.00-£18.00 per hour - Depending on Experience.

Location: County Durham, DL1 3NJ (WD Close)

Hours: Monday-Thursday 7am-3:30pm, Friday 7am-1pm

Gi Group is recruiting for a talented Fabricator/Welder to join a growing team in County Durham.
This a temporary role leading to permanent position for the right individuals.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects in the industrial, commercial, and domestic sectors, including staircases, handrails, fire escapes, and bespoke metalwork.

You will be responsible for both in-house fabrication and site installations, working with various welding techniques and ensuring the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

Fabrication and welding of general metal works, including staircases, handrails, mezzanine flooring, and bespoke products.
Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding, metal fabrication, grinding, and finishing.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience with metal structure assembly and site installations as required.
CSCS Card is desirable but not essential.
Strong focus on inspection and quality checking of all products.
