About the Role:
SHD Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join a vibrant school community. This position is a long term position, from December or January until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore and understand a diverse range of religious beliefs, values, and cultural practices, fostering respect and open-mindedness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons that meet curriculum standards and cater to varying student abilities.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
• Contribute to the development of RE curriculum and school initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-curricular connections and enhance the educational experience.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related field.
• Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level (KS3, KS4, and/or KS5 preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A passion for teaching and promoting understanding of different cultures and beliefs.
