The role 
Vision for Education is currently recruiting a Behaviour Mentor to join a Primary school in Leeds to start on a Full-Time basis. Working in this Primary school as part of an established team, the desired Behaviour Mentor will be working on a small group or 1:1 basis in supporting pupils with SEMH needs. The desired candidate will need to have had significant experience supporting with children with SEMH needs and a real desire to do the role. You will support pupils in class as well as implement individual behaviour plans (SEMH plans) set by the SENCO and fellow members of the pastoral team. You will primarily be working in KS2.

This school has a ‘good’ Ofsted rating and is a two-form school. It is at the heart of the community with inclusivity at the centre of everything they do. 

Requirements 
The desired Behaviour Mentor will: 

  • Be a role model to all
  • Be able to de-escalate challenging situations
  • Be proactive and support the engagement of pupils
  • Be confident to deliver activities 1 to 1 and a small group basis
  • Have a DBS on the Update Service
