Electrical Team Lead

Salary: Circa £38k per annum

Location: Leeds



Metalis are currently working with a Leeds based client who design, manufacture and overhaul components for the rail industry. Our client is now looking for an Electrical Team Lead to join the Electrical department on a temporary to permanent basis, which will result in permanent contracts for candidates who complete a successful probation period.



Job Role:

  • Overseeing the Overhaul/Assembly of cables, harnesses and other products to the customers' requirements.
  • Repair, Routine Maintenance and Overhaul of electrical assemblies used in the Rail industry.
  • Crimping, measuring, and assembling of electrical harnesses/looms.
  • Testing completed assemblies to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Recording and updating details of any work completed.
  • Writing and implementing Work instructions/Overhaul procedures.
  • Working to strict deadlines and time scales
  • Use of equipment including hand and power tools.
  • Supervising a small team of electrical engineers/assemblers.



Job Requirements:

  • Experience in an electrical assembly role,
  • Apprentice trained/qualified (Preferred but not essential)
  • Understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Experience with MK automated test unit (Preferred but not essential)

  • Days only position
  • Overtime Available
  • Circa £38k per annum (DOE)
