The Award-Winning team at SIDE UK is looking for a passionate Audio Designer to join our crew. SIDE has been producing best-in-class game audio for over 25 years and built an enviable portfolio and brand. Recent hit releases SIDE have provided dialogue services for include Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Hitman III, Returnal, It Takes Two and more.

As an Audio Designer, your responsibilities include crafting, developing, producing and integrating the sound environment for games. Your expertise in sound and passion should enable you to build captivating soundscapes, providing players with an immersive gaming experience.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Design and edit sound assets for use in games and trailers, in respect to the style and project’s creative direction.
  • Implement sound assets in audio middleware such as Wwise, FMOD and game engines like Unreal, Unity.
  • Design dynamic mixing hierarchies and audio systems.
  • Working collaboratively, attending meetings with the team and external partners.
  • Contributing to the project’s documentation and tracking.

Requirements

  • Experience in game/film sound design, ideally in AAA game titles.
  • Wide experience of implementing sound into games using various development tools, pipelines, and technologies.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with audio software (e.g., Cubase, Pro Tools, Reaper, Soundly) and audio middleware
  • Broad experience with abstract sound design, cinematic SFX and immersive character sound (dialog and foley)
  • Solid recording skills for SFX and Foley in studio and external environments
