About the Role

As the first Marketing Lead at Costello Medical, you will be the driving force behind the expansion and strategic execution of our marketing communication services for clients in the pharmaceutical and MedTech industries. Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering successful, high-impact marketing outputs across a range of medical and commercial projects. These outputs will include marketing campaigns, sales materials, email marketing, websites and social media, as well as medical and educational events, primarily targeting healthcare professionals and patients.

With your extensive experience in pharmaceutical marketing, you will bring a wealth of knowledge in brand strategy and content development, combined with a deep understanding of regulatory compliance. You will apply your project management skills to spearhead a range of initiatives with autonomy and creativity, guiding project teams and clients in defining their approach and measuring success. Your keen attention to detail and ability to navigate the complexities of pharmaceutical regulations will be crucial as we push new boundaries and drive marketing campaigns that resonate strongly with our target audiences.

In this rare and exciting new position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and expansion of our marketing function, which is a relatively new addition to our service offerings and represents a key strategic priority for the company over the next few years. Therefore, we are seeking an experienced and confident individual to lead this function, reporting directly to our Leadership Team and collaborating closely with our MedComms and Creative teams. We strongly believe that someone who brings the right skills, attitudes, and mindsets will have the opportunity to advance rapidly into a Division Head (department lead) role.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting the Marketing Strategy: Leading, inspiring, and setting the overall direction of our new marketing function with support from the Leadership Team, ensuring alignment with our global company strategy
  • Driving Business Development for our Marketing Communication Services: Identifying future project opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with all clients, with a focus on growing the volume of work delivered
  • Leading Client Marketing Projects: Partnering with our MedComms, Creative, and Digital teams to provide innovative, data-driven strategies and solutions for new and existing clients
  • Advising on Regulatory Compliance: Providing strategic advice to clients and project teams on pharmaceutical regulations and compliance, ensuring quality standards are consistently met across our marketing services
  • Planning Projects: Coordinating the development, execution, and optimisation of strategic marketing projects, defining their scope and purpose, as well as brainstorming new ideas with clients
  • Fostering Collaboration: Building and maintaining robust working relationships with all project teams, including responding to all marketing-related enquiries
  • Creating Engaging Content: Developing comprehensive and engaging content for various materials and audiences
  • Providing Training: Designing and delivering training to enhance marketing knowledge and capabilities across the company

Hybrid Working Policy: We recognise that home-working can improve work life balance, reduce commuting times and costs, and provide the opportunity to juggle personal commitments. At the same time, we believe that having face-to-face time in the office holds many benefits and is central to ensuring that the community we have created, where people have a workplace they belong to and feel part of, is never lost.

Therefore, we offer flexible working arrangements that allow our colleagues who have passed probation to work from home for up to half of the time, measured across a 2-week rolling period. During your probationary period (normally the first 6 months of the role) you will be able to work from home for 1 day per week.
