Discovery is looking for passionate Support Workers to join our team at Apple Tree Court in Street, where 7 women and 6 men live and are supported to live rich, fulfilled lives.
Apple Tree Court is made up of a number of bungalows and flats with enough space for up to 18 people to live, so it’s safe to say we are a very busy and lively place to work!

As a Support Worker no two days are the same and part of your role will be encouraging and enabling the people we support to make plans and get the most out of their day. One of the great parts of the job is working on a one to one basis with a person we support, building meaningful relationships and getting involved in many different activities with them.

The people we support enjoy a range of activities depending on their own personal preferences, including going on trips such as to the zoo, going out for walks in the local area and visiting the café for cake and coffee. On days in, some of the people we support enjoy doing some arts and crafts, playing board games or watching a movie, and we are always on the lookout for Support Workers with new and creative ideas for exciting things to do.

In addition to getting involved in activities you’ll also assist the people we support with their day to day lives, supporting with making appointments, finances and enabling the people we support to make their own decisions and choices.

Our typical shift times at Apple Tree Court are from 7am until 2.30pm or 2.30pm until 10pm
