Production Team Manager

Our Production Team Manager roles are not just about people, but also involves prioritising and implementing production plans to deliver targets, cost management and Health and Safety/Risk Assessments.

This company is one of the major suppliers of fresh and pre-packed vegetables in the UK to many of the major supermarkets. The effective management of our production operations and the fair and supportive leadership of our team members is key to our success.

Our Production Team Manager is responsible for many aspects of the day to day running of the department.

We are looking for proven experience in ;

• People Management in a team lead or similar position (essential)
• Planning and organisational skills, and the ability to cope with a highly demanding target driven environment (essential)
• HR related areas such as recruitment, probation, disciplinary and absence reviews and other staff related meetings (essential)
• Clear and effective communication skills (essential)
• Food or similar manufacturing/production (highly desirable)
• Knowledge of Food Safety & Hygiene (highly desirable)
• Use of best practice and continuous development skills to ensure operational and quality targets are achieved/exceeded
• Managing unexpected challenges and changes in priority
• Experience of effectively utilising coaching skills to develop others

The ability to be able to focus equally on production targets and the empowerment of your team is essential in this role, and we will be looking for evidence of this on applications.
