Our client are looking for a QS or SQS with strong commercial background working for private practise / consultancy and have project exposure across a range of sector projects.

Our client work on some exciting multi-million pound projecs across the Residential,  Healthcare, Education, Heritage & Conservation and Commercial sectors.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented PQS (Professional Quantity Surveyor) to join our team. As a PQS, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely cost estimates and quantity surveying services for construction projects. Your expertise in cost management and procurement will contribute to the successful completion of projects within budgetary constraints.

Duties:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labour, and equipment costs
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities
- Analyse project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost control strategies
- Review subcontractor bids and negotiate contracts
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide regular reports to stakeholders
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with cost management procedures
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in bid evaluations
