InstaStaff are currently recruiting for CNC Milling, Programmer/ Setter
Our client is an Engineering company based just outside Birmingham City Centre. They are looking for an experienced CNC Milling, Programmer/ Setter to join their team on a permanent basis.
You will have knowledge and experience in both online and offline programming using VISI software, setting and operating 3 & 5 axis machining centres, have a strong working knowledge of Mazatrol Siemens and/or Heidenhain controls is essential
The work is varied and diverse, it includes fixture's, prototypes and bespoke work and a small amount of production work.
The duties of the CNC Milling, Programmer/ Setter will include:
- Programming, Set and Operate CNC machines
- Ensuring lead times and delivery dates are met
- Ensuring quality requirements and checks, using appropriate measuring equipment are carried out as required
- Ensuring all required paperwork and labels are correctly completed and filed as necessary
- Ensuring manufacturing shop floor data collection system is updated when required
- Carrying out Preventive Maintenance on machines
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the company’s quality requirements
- CNC Milling Knowledge.
- Using conventional machines, Centre Lathe, Turret Mill, Surface Grinder.
- Using CAD
The ideal CNC Milling, Programmer/ Setter will have:
- A minimum of 5 year’s experience producing one offs from engineering drawings, be able to work to tight tolerances and inspect parts using the correct measuring equipment.
- The ability to work on your own initiative and make fixtures or jigs to assist in the production of your part, you must also have a sound knowledge of tooling along with feeds and speeds.
Hours of work for the CNC Milling, Programmer/ Setter are 8.00am -4pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am-3.30pm Friday
Salary for the CNC Milling, Programmer/ Setter is circa £40,000
Regular overtime is available - 1.5 hourly rate
