Globe Holidays are currently looking to employ an Engineering Manager at our Barnsley Depot, to manage a fleet of PSV vehicles and a team of Engineers.

Reporting to the Director's, the sucessful candidate will be responsible for the operational function, including managing and leading the engineering team, ensuring our fleet of vehicles are maintained to Company and DVSA Standards and adherence to all Health and Safety requirements.

We are looking for an individual who can work well under pressure and also work under their own initiative in an organised manner. Hands-on workshop experience is a distinct advantage, along with the technical know-how for the role.

We are looking for someone who is computer literate, with experience of being cost concious and working within budgets.

A Transport Manager CPC would be advantageous, as would PSV/LGV licence entitlements, however these are not essential for the right candidate.

Your responsibilities would include:

• Ensuring the fleet is inspected and maintained to DVSA standards.
• Organising the workshop daily workload, ensuring jobs are completed to the required standards.
• Ensuring relevant documentation is completed and audited where required.
• Ordering parts and managing stock levels.
• Ensuring Health and Safety Standards are met.
• Communicating and working effectively with the workshop team and providing support where required.
• Identifying and implementing training standards for all staff.
• Working closely with the Supervisory team to ensure the required number of vehicles are available for service each day.
