LG Engineering Solutions are recruiting a Quality Officer for a manufacturing business that’s based in Carrington, Trafford. The company is well established with a US based sister company and is the leading supplier of its products into the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. There is a genuine chance for progression on offer with a direct route to Team Leader.

In the role you will be performing material inspections, reporting defects and assisting with internal and external audits when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on incoming raw material and finished goods, report any defects to Quality management
• Collaborate with production team helping to identify quality issues and help to implement corrective actions
• Complete quality documentation and produce inspection reports, non-conformance reports and procedural reports
• Participate in internal audits (ISO 9001)
• Weekly checks on measuring equipment, calibrate equipment when required
• Work to quality targets and objectives, look at ways to implement continuous improvement across the quality department

Qualifications and Skills required

• Previous experience working as a Quality Inspector/Technician within a manufacturing company
• Demonstrated experience performing quality inspections
• A working knowledge of ISO9001
• Excellent administration skills and the ability to produce reports accurately
• Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and senior management
