Managing Consultant

Cheltenham

Circa £50,000 (negotiable DOE)

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Managing Consultant, tasked with driving strategic initiatives, overseeing project management, conducting in-depth strategic analysis, and providing mentorship to our dedicated team.

An international healthcare marketing consultancy, dedicated to the Healthcare sector. They are a trusted advisor to the world’s leading medical device and pharmaceutical companies. They offer distinct capabilities that integrate market research, business analysis and strategic problem solving. They have a global team of consultants and researchers helping clients succeed with new product development and innovative ideas, from idea generation and concept development to market testing, pricing, and commercialisation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in strategic consulting or agency-side market research/project management with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities, demonstrated through past management of staff or project teams.
  • Desirable expertise in Market Research, Marketing, Strategy, Product Management, Brand Management, or Consulting within the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the development of comprehensive, client-facing presentations, ensuring strategic alignment and impactful delivery.
  • Lead multinational projects, guiding a team of consultants, analysts, and partners to successful outcomes.
  • Analyse and interpret both qualitative and quantitative market research findings to extract valuable insights.
  • Shape client engagements through informed strategy design, proposal writing, and presentation of report outputs.
  • Develop actionable recommendations to enhance client strategies, leveraging your expertise and insights.
  • Facilitate engaging customer workshops to foster collaborative solutions and drive business growth.
  • Design sophisticated questionnaires and research materials for various projects, ensuring data collection aligns with strategic objectives.
  • Execute and oversee multinational market research and consulting projects, with a focus on medical technology innovation, product launches, and marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate within project teams to analyse and interpret research findings, translating them into actionable strategies for our clients.
  • Take ownership of client reports and project outputs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, insightful content.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, including strategy, marketing, and product management.
  • Contribute to the design of client engagements and actively participate in proposal development.
  • To oversee, and guide the team at our Cheltenham Office with a hands-on presence, providing management, support, and mentorship.
  • Occasionally participate in international customer workshops, necessitating limited travel within Europe.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at navigating complex challenges.
  • Experienced in client relationship management, with a track record of engaging with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in market research tools and methodologies, coupled with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, delivering results within tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a penchant for independent work, while also fostering collaboration within a team.
  • Effective multitasker with strong prioritization skills, ensuring efficient project management.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of building rapport and credibility.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe periodically for client engagements.
