About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Hands-on Electromechanical Engineer.

Working within our clients busy Technical Department, you’ll be responsible for installing, servicing & repairing packaging machinery, both on customers’ sites and sometimes in our workshop. This will almost exclusively be machinery supplied by our client but you will need the flexibility and capability to work on any equipment if there is a commercial reason to do so.

This role requires a joined-up approach, using your strong knowledge of both the machinery and the consumables in order to confidently advise on both, including performing film optimisation work on any type of pallet wrapping machine.

You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service ability, having the ability to empathise with customers and work closely with them to ensure they’re left very happy. You will be a strong ambassador for us throughout all customer interactions.

Other Responsibilities

· Management of all associated procedures to ensure everything is properly logged and charged in a timely fashion.

· Management of all health & safety aspects of this role.

· Providing full technical support to sales colleagues.

· Carrying out comprehensive customer demonstrations and on-site training.

Skills/requirements Essential

· Commercially minded, with an ability to spot opportunities for the company to increase revenue.

· Several years’ experience in a similar role and/or fully qualified

· Full, clean driving licence

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday - 7.30am – 4pm
• Overtime availability/Weekend availability
