£50,000 - £55,000/annum Car or £5,880 allowance,10% bonus
  • Mon to Fri
  • Hybrid role - home based with 2-3 days pw traveling and office based work
  • Salary plus car or travel allowance, further benefits include a 10% bonus and healthcare

One of the UK's largest and most successful Facilities Management (FM) providers are looking to develop their Central Waste function which provides support across a range of public and private sector accounts to help clients manage their waste across their building portfolios.

The clients here range from public healthcare to corporate banking, and so their  waste need are varied and complex, therefore this Waste Manager will need to be specialising in compliance and legislation rather than running an operational waste and recycling team

Here, through a mix of auditing, staff training, and engagement of external bodies you will work to develop awareness of Waste compliance across the organisation

This is a fantastic  role for a developing Waste Compliance specialist looking to advance their knowledge of various waste streams for blue chip clients

Actions will include:

  • Developing, managing, and delivering the Waste Services legislative compliance framework
  • Conducting Duty of Care due diligence upon the external approved waste supply chain partners (both desk-top and site based) to ensure compliance. Manage actions and share due diligence with the business.
  • Maintain/update the compliance related SharePoint resources, accessed by the UK operational teams
  • Develop operational based training and e-learning modules and TBTs suitable for teams and customers in conjunction with the wider Operational Performance Team
  • Support operational teams in completing reviews of their contract’s compliance with legislation and operational processes
  • Interpret how new legislation affects operational delivery and communicate changes and impacts via the production of business briefing notes and other mediums.
  • Engagement with key clients providing support and advice which ensures their compliance with waste legislation
  • Liaison with external audit organisations assessing both employer and clients
  • Engagement with external governing bodies supporting investigations, inspections or audits

We need from you:

  • An in-depth knowledge of waste legislation and compliance
  • Experience in delivering information to a wide range of remote stakeholders
  • Experience in conducting Duty of Care due diligence audits
