We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Practice Surveyor to lead our clients Worcester office. As the Head of Office, you will be responsible for managing a team of surveyors, driving business growth, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality property services. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership position in a thriving office within our Surveying Services division.

Main Purpose of Job:
  • Leading and managing the Worcester office, ensuring the delivery of high-quality surveying services.
  • Driving business growth and identifying new opportunities in the property market.
  • Overseeing a team of surveyors, providing mentorship, support, and professional development.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
Position in Organization:
This role reports to the Regional Director of Surveying Services and involves close collaboration with other regional heads, team members, and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Worcester office, managing day-to-day operations and ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Oversee the performance and development of a team of surveyors, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct property surveys and valuations, and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the office’s client base.
  • Represent the company at industry events and build a strong professional network.
Areas of Responsibility/Accountability:
  • Responsible for the management and performance of the Worcester office.
  • Accountable for meeting financial targets and delivering high-quality services.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices.

  • Clients and property owners
  • Contractors and consultants
  • Regulatory authorities
  • Internal team members and senior management
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Surveying or a related field.
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent professional body.
  • Extensive experience in general practice surveying, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
Experience:
  • Significant experience in property surveys, valuations, and property management.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Strong understanding of property legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficiency in relevant IT tools and software.
Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in property valuation and surveying techniques.
  • Knowledge of building structures, materials, and maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports and documentation.
  • Strong project management and delivery skills.
