We are currently working with a leading University to recruit for a Procurement Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global University, transforming lives through inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research.

The ideal candidate will be MCIPS qualified or working towards it with demonstrable public contracts regulations knowledge.

Duties

  • Provide a customer-focused professional procurement service to stakeholders
  • Advise and provide guidance on complex procurement matters
  • Create tender and other procurement specifications including frameworks
  • Lead cross functional teams in targeted reviews to improve procurement practices
  • Develop mechanisms to monitor and improve the performance of suppliers
  • Evaluate supplier responses
  • Ensure Terms and Conditions are completed and signed
  • Monitor performance of existing contracts
  • Complete statutory returns
  • Act as main point of contact for procurement processes and systems
  • Arrange and attend meeting with internal and external customers on behalf of the function

Essentials

  • MCIPS qualified or working towards it
  • Previous experience of tendering process, including public sector requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of UK Public Sector procurement legislation and framework
