Hales Group are assisting their client to look for a qualified Transport Manager to support their Bulk Transport department. You will already have a transport background with experience ideally gained from Bulk Haulage type operations and be a holder of a Transport Manager CPC.
 
Monday to Friday with a requirement to work Saturday’s and out of hours on-call, as and when required.
 
50hrs per week and must be flexible with working hours.

Role Overview
 
This role is responsible for overseeing the transportation of timed bulk materials within the brewery, food and beverage industry. This involves managing a fleet of 30+ vehicles, drivers, routes, and schedules to ensure that goods are transported safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
 
Key responsibilities

• Manage the transport fleet, including the maintenance and repair of vehicles
• Schedule and coordinate transport activities to ensure that goods are delivered on time
• Professional interaction with internal & external parties
• Accurate ongoing use of the TMS & other associated systems
• Operate in accordance with current legislation and policies
• Operational and commercial based decision making
• Resource planning
• Deal with unexpected situations, delays, RTA’s

 Key Attributes and Skills

• Transport Manager CPC essential
• Experience of Bulk Haulage (desirable) and fleet operations
• Professional approach to communication with colleagues and customers
• Good geographical understanding of the UK
• High motivated and capable of working within a pressured environment
