If the answer is yes, our client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work as part of their embedded teams of nuclear specialists at Hinkley Point C. 

The opportunity
This company designs, delivers, and maintains strategic and complex nuclear assets for customers across global energy markets. With over 60 years of experience in the nuclear industry, they are passionate about nuclear energy and its role in the modern world. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the nuclear energy strategy in the UK to help achieve the net zero carbon goals. You will work across the project lifecycle from bid generation to delivery, to drive innovation to multiple sectors.

The role
As an Electrical Engineer, this is a full-time role, where you will be responsible for the delivery of discipline engineering scope on a major EPC project (typical TIC £500m+). You will work as part of a diverse and collaborative team to support major work on the Hinkley Point C Project.

Salary - Flexible (dependent on experience) 
Location - Bridgewater, Somerset 

Your duties and responsibilities will be 
  • You will be responsible for updating the Load List, collecting and integrating detailed power supply and control requirements from system engineers.
  • You will be interacting directly with key clients and their responsible engineers, solving complex problems for existing and new nuclear stations, and developing engineering solutions to meet clients’ needs. With over 60 EC&I Engineers in the team, there is significant help and advice available to support knowledge transfer and career development.
you will have the following qualifications & experience
  • Hold a relevant engineering Degree/HNC/Chartership in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Be adaptable and able to transfer existing skills onto new problems, ideally from a design background.
  • Be organised and able to work on multiple projects.
  • Due to the nature of work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance.
