Job Title
HR Manager/Head of HR

Role
To deliver HR strategic, subject matter expertise and transactional services to TEXO in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, company policy, industry best practice in the most cost-effective manner.

Reporting to
Managing Director

Personal Competencies:

  • Hands-on, trusted adviser, able to coach, challenge and support managers to deliver best practice HR activities in an engaging way.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced level of organisational and planning skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail essential

Academic Competencies:

  • CIPD qualification or working towards full certification or degree level qualification.
  • Intermediate certificate of competence in Microsoft applications


Experience Competencies & Responsibilities:
 

  • Employee Relations expert, leading Human Resource operational issues, ensuring compliance in accordance with employment law and best practice methodology, adherence to policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Proven experience build/lead a small HR team (1 - 2 individuals) managing key deadlines through effective prioritising and planning of tasks to deliver HR generalist advice and guidance across multiple divisions.
  • Managing the mapping, training and development of all staff and work alongside the Divisional Directors to implement and drive training needs.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the proven ability to coach line, departmental and other managers on a variety of HR matters including but not limited to; employee relations; performance management; appraisal management; disciplinary and grievance; learning and development and reward.
  • Management of visa and immigration documentation and the planning of recruitment operations overseas in partnership with the Divisional Directors and Operations management within the organisation.
  • Provide input to and enact the HR components of TEXO’s KPI & objectives and support of the organisation's continued growth and development.
  • Provision of a high-quality HR coaching to line managers at all levels across the organisation
  • Promote best practice and provide effective advice to line, departmental and other managers when dealing with challenging HR matters, always operating within the laws and regulations governing employment.
  • Deliver regular training on TEXO’s HR Policies and Procedures
  • Understanding the organisation's objectives in order to develop and enforce applicable HR Policies and Procedures across the organisation.
  • Interpreting and advising on employment law across the organisation.
  • Research, develop and implement TEXO’s Policies, Procedures and Employment Handbooks within the organisation.
  • In conjunction with employment law, review and update the HR Policies and Employment Handbooks ensuring continued compliance with employment law and best practice.
  • Experience providing HR services to service organisations in various sectors.
