My client is a leading company that assists clients in their demand for cleaner energy solutions for their companies and are now looking to recruit some additional Site Based Project Manager to join their expanding team due to significant growth.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

In this role will involve the management and oversight of allocated multi- discipline electrical projects from the point of contact, through to successful completion on site whilst having overall responsibility for having overall responsibility of budget, H&S and delivery of quality projects.

The role is challenging and involves working closely with the customer, sub- contractors, professional teams, and departments within the company.

Therefore, your key responsibilities include:

- To be responsible for the successful and on time delivery of key projects within the Group.

- Ultimate responsibility for the site H&S and understanding company’s requirements under DM2015 whilst performing different roles.

- To work closely with internal team and external consultants to ensure projects are designed, priced, and delivered efficiently whilst maintaining high quality throughout all projects.

- To undertake site surveys where necessary and appoint sub-contractors.

- To be directly involved with sales opportunities at sales stage where required, interface with the professional team in design team meetings and assist the customer in reviewing interface with other trades.

- Effectively manage and prioritise projects to ensure project delivery schedules are met.

- Assist the design team with updating designs to ensure that site specific issues are captured.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service.

- Communicate with key personnel and customers as required to ensure that customer service is delivered effectively and consistently.

- Ensuring Projects are closed out effectively and on time and invoiced at the earliest opportunity.

- Manage contractual risk on a specific project by project basis.

- Ensure project documentation is drafted for distribution to customers.

- Any other tasks not mentioned but are key to the role and requested by the line manager.

- To record all pertinent activities and correspondence in a contractual manner in order to reduce risk to the company from potential contractual conflicts.

- To mentor and assist colleagues generally in understanding Project Management processes

- To develop and establish an internal Project Delivery Teams to delivery multi-discipline projects throughout the UK.

- Provide weekly & monthly reporting to the Operations Manager on projects.

- Add oversight to the design team with updating designs to ensure that site specific issues are captured.

- Communicate with key personnel and customers as required to ensure that customer service is delivered effectively and consistently.

- To record all activities and KPIs to ensure timely response and continuous improvement.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following skills and experience:

- 3-5 Years on experience of Project Management experience or similar role.

- Holding CSCS Card and SMSTS card would be advantageous.

- In depth knowledge of Electrical Regulations including but not limited to BS7671:2018 18th Edition, IET Guide for Solar PV and CIBSE lighting Design Guides is distinct advantage.

- Working at Height and Harness Training (D)

- Asbestos Awareness Training (D)

- Experience in using AutoCAD advantageous.

- Experience of working in construction or similar based industry

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, and MS Project.

- Be highly organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

- Ability to work on own initiative, be highly motived, goal driven with a can-do attitude.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external customers.

- Ideally previous experience of working in a project delivery type role.

- The ability to work well as part of a team.

This is the 3rd time we have been asked for an individual for this role as the last candidates has impressed the company so highly that they are seeking to develop and mentor individuals for this role. The ideal candidate would be someone who has come from either an engineering or construction background circa SNCO level, and who is keen to enter this expanding sector of Green Power generation. Candidates who have competed their PM and or IOSH/NEBOSH course during your resettlement would be an advantage, and for this role they are seeking individuals who have a strong electrical background however the last candidates did not come from a construction or engineering background but so impressed them with their drive and ambition.

You can be based anywhere in the UK mainland as you will be working on site Mon – Fri, therefore you will be working away from home about 70% of the time, where they will be supplying the accommodation and food for those days.
