GSL Education is currently working in partnership with a well-resourced secondary school in Haringey and we are hiring a Drama Teacher to join their team in September. We are seeking a passionate individual who can inspire students with a love for Drama while delivering high-quality education in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Candidate will be responsible for teaching KS3/KS4
  • Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons for students across various year groups.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels confident to express themselves.
  • Organize and direct school plays and drama productions.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities to enhance the learning experience.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Teaching certification or qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS) for secondary school.
  • Prior experience teaching Drama to secondary school students.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • DBS on Updated Service

Skills:

  • Ability to create engaging and informative lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Passionate about teaching Science and inspiring students to learn.
