The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Quarry Production Foreman to join us at Torrs Quarry in Shepton Mallet. This role is essential to managing our quarry's daily operations and ensuring the highest standards in safety, efficiency, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the quarry, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Managing and motivating a team of quarry operators and staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitoring and improving production processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Managing maintenance schedules and liaising with maintenance teams to minimise downtime.
  • Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers.
What will you bring?
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a quarry or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) legislation.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving processes.
  • A commitment to high-quality standards and continuous improvement.
  • Competency in using relevant ICT systems and software.
