Job Title: Power BI Developer

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE

Job Description

As a Power BI Developer you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI solutions that enable our organization to make informed decisions. Your expertise in data visualization, data modeling, and Power BI development will be instrumental in driving our business forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI to convey complex data in a user-friendly manner.
• Data Modeling: Develop and maintain robust data models, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Data Integration: Collaborate with data engineers to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Power BI.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports and dashboards.
• User Training: Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively use Power BI for data analysis.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with Power BI best practices and industry trends to suggest improvements and innovations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Power BI Certification.
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
• Familiarity with Azure services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database).
