JOB TITLE: Administrator

LOCATION: Somerton, Somerset

SALARY & BENEFITS: Circa £23,000 PA

29 days annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays), small and friendly team, a growing company with progression opportunities (everyone in the team has recently been promoted hence the need to recruit for this position), longstanding employees and supportive company, varied workload, a picturesque office building with open plan offices and bright interior.

HOURS: 37.5 hours, Monday- Friday, 9am - 5pm (30 minute lunch break)

THE COMPANY: A well respected national company providing a professional service to both corporate companies and private clients. A growing business that takes on new clients almost every day!

THE ROLE: This is an entry level opportunity with the view for the right candidate to progress into an accounting opportunity, therefore requiring an enthusiastic individual with the willingness to learn. Full training will be provided to the successful applicant, but you will need to be confident on the computer with the ability to pick up new systems with ease. You will provide general office support to the team as and when required, therefore you will need to be a confident communicator with a good eye for detail.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Conducting client electronic ID checks.
  • Providing administrative support to senior members of the team.
  • Preparing documents, accounts and spreadsheets.
  • Organising and maintaining files and documents.
  • Working closely alongside the solicitors and dealing with assets and trusts
  • Conducting industry research and gathering relevant information for each client.
  • Scheduling appointments and meetings.
  • Assisting with client intake and communication.
  • Managing correspondence and communication with clients.
  • Working on or checking over a tax return for a client
  • Corresponding with HMRC
  • Performing general office tasks such as answering the phone and updating the system.

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Prior office based administrative experience is required with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and the ability to pick up new software.
  • A hard working and enthusiastic 'can do' working manner with willingness to learn and expand on skills.
  • A team player with the confidence to get involved and support where needed.
  • Professional and presentable.
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to liaise with clients via phone and email.
