LSA required for mainstream Secondary Academy - Harpenden, Hertfordshire - September start on a long-term basis - Working alongside SENCO - £85 £110 per day

Tradewind is working with a recently opened Secondary Academy in Harpenden who are looking for a number of SEN TA's to work alongside their new intake of pupils with Moderate learning needs.

School details:

This is a popular, friendly and well equipped Secondary Academy that opened in 2021 and has a great reputation in the area already for it's supportive and holistic approach. The role will consist of supporting pupils in year 7 who are joining with additional needs including Autism, global delay, communications difficulties, and behavioural needs. The school has an exceptional SENCO and you'll be working alongside a team of specialist SEN TA's who work hard to ensure every child can access learning and make sustained progression.

Person requirements:

• Strong communication needs and an academic background or the ability to support with Key stage 2 levels of numeracy and literacy.
• Desire to work in a varied role, supporting multiple students and working alongside the schools SENCO
• A candidate who can commit to a long-term role across 5 days a week between 8.30am and 4pm
• Ideally someone who is keen to learn many of the duties and responsibilities of a SENCO taking the opportunity to further develop your own knowledge
