Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a popular privately owned 5star hotel in Oban and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance & Facilities Manager to join their team.

Job Overview & Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance & Facilities Manager you will be responsible you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the property's maintenance, ensuring a safe, comfortable and efficient environment for everyone. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the hotel's high standards and enhancing the overall guest experience.

  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program for all the hotel facilities and grounds
  • Manage and coordinate daily maintenance activities, including repairs, renovations and upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as industry standards
  • Manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers
  • Monitor and control maintenance budgets and expenses#
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel premises and equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and asset management

Key skills required:

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent understanding of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and structural components
  • Budgeting and financial management skills
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when necessary plus on call support
