Office based Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm

The Role:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in the growth of the business. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for calling researched lease break database opportunities and market information to book appointments and drive new business opportunities. This role could suit someone who is already selling to C-Suite executives in businesses or someone from a recruitment background.

Key Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

Qualify and Research Opportunities: Target companies and project opportunities within the allocated areas in London.

Appointment Booking: Schedule meetings with prospective clients and set up meetings for architects to visit premises.

Database Management: Build and maintain a high-quality individual database of prospective clients.

Client Outreach: Engage with prospective clients through telephone calls, ensuring minimum call levels and conversion KPI's are met.

Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with potential clients, agents, and project managers.

Lead Management: Record, track, and follow up on commercial agency leads provided.

KPI Reporting: Produce qualitative enquiries in line with sales targets, report KPI and statistics, and attend internal business development meetings.

What We're Looking For:

Experience: Extensive experience within a commercial B2B sales environment with a proven track record of building rapport and closing appointments. This role could suit someone already selling to C-Suite executives or someone from a recruitment background.

Sales Values: Experience in selling projects ranging from £200k to £4m.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and close appointments.

Negotiation and Persuasion: Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to educate and inspire potential clients.

Proactive Attitude: A proactive individual driven to achieve and exceed targets.

Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and think quickly to overcome objections.

Networking and Closing Skills: Exemplary networking, closing, and appointment-setting skills are essential for a successful Business Development Manager.

Relationship Focused: Always looking for the personal touch to build ongoing business relationships.
