Site Engineer

Location – Cornwall

As Site Engineer, you will be reporting to the Project Manager/Site Agents and will be accountable for the weekly planning and ongoing delivery of site based works on a flood defence scheme.  You will be responsible for reviewing and establishing technical contract requirements and constraints and ensure these are communicated to project personnel, and to support the overall project delivery strategy in ensuring the appropriate capability and resources are identified as necessary to achieve the contract objectives. You will be required to develop positive relationships with all parties associated with the contract and to ensure that the contract is delivered on time, within budget and to the agreed quality whilst ensuring that client expectations regarding quality, programme and budget are wherever possible exceeded.

Responsibilities

• Site Safety, Health Environmental and Quality responsibilities for all site activities
• Review and interpret project drawings, specifications for site based activity / engineering.
• Setting Out
• Ensuring that site engineering is carried out in a professional, systematic and accurate manner.
• Quality Management experience
• Supervision of works on site including labour, plant and subcontractors.
• Keeping accurate records, including a diary, of all site activities.
• Taking off and ordering of materials.
• Daily and weekly planning of site works being carried out, including assisting in the production of Risk Assessments, Work Package Plans, Inspection Test Plans and other documentation.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you will have previous experience as a Site Engineer in a civil engineering environment

• Good setting out skills with quality management experience
• Experience as a Site Engineer in civils contracting environment.
