Job Title: Sprinkler Design Manager


A leading fire safety specialist is seeking a Sprinkler Design Manager to join their team. This company offers comprehensive design, installation, and maintenance services for fire sprinkler systems and related services. They support customers by providing high-quality fire suppression and compliance based on appropriate fire safety legislation, serving both commercial and residential sectors.

The Purpose of the Role:As a Sprinkler Design Manager, you will be responsible for all design activities on projects and small works. This includes systems designed to BS9251, BSEN12845, and incorporating all industry membership guidance and Health & Safety requirements. This key role will provide technical support across Sales, Operations, Service, and business accreditations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of all design and technical aspects of projects and small works
  • Oversee the design and compliance process from point of sale to completion
  • Serve as an internal link within the company, offering technical support to all departments
  • Attend project design meetings and represent the company at kick-off meetings as required
  • Lead customer teleconferences, visits, and audits, providing timely reports and updates
  • Interact with accreditation bodies such as IFC & LPC
  • Handle all design-related compliance audits, both internal and external
  • Create, deliver, and complete all design drawings as required
  • Advise the Board of Directors on compliance issues, design workload, and industry updates

The Ideal Candidate:

  • More than five years of experience in the industry
  • Basic Design LPC/BS Qualification
  • Strong understanding of relevant sprinkler standards (LPC, BS, FM rules/guidance)
  • Comprehensive industry knowledge
  • Strong management/leadership and customer-facing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Full UK Driving License
