£65,000 - £75,000/annum

Main contractor seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Site Manager to join their team on an exciting £40M hotel refurbishment and new build project in Shepherds Bush. This position will be no2 on the project, working under the Project Manager. The successful candidate will primarily focus on the external aspects of the build, including facade, frame, groundworks, services, and other related components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all external construction activities, ensuring that the project progresses on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Specialise in the externals of the build, with a strong focus on facade, frame, groundworks, and services
  • Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with relevant regulations and specifications.
  • Liaise effectively with the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient project delivery.
  • Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and finish.
  • Promote and enforce a strong health and safety culture on site, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proactively identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, providing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Provide regular updates on the progress of external works to the Project Manager and senior management team, highlighting any potential risks or delays.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on similar construction projects
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is desirable
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in external construction elements
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate teams effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with all project stakeholders
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction health and safety regulations and best practices
