We are seeking a Care Quality Improvement Nurse in our Eaglewood centre in Peterborough. This is a permanent and Full-time position based in our Peterborough Centre. This role is to support and assist the Registered Manager and deliver optimum quality care in line with PJ Care policies and procedures, to all residents. The right candidate will reflect the PJ Care values of Care, Compassion and Commitment.

Overview:

  • To ensure the care of all residents on all units meet the standards and requirements of the Company and to provide leadership, support, and guidance to staff to ensure high quality care and treatment is delivered to all residents in line with PJ Care expectations and standards and in conjunction with the NMC code of conducts and all other professional regulatory and legislative bodies pertaining to the multidisciplinary team.
  • To ensure, engage and assist with the application of quality assurance in accordance with PJ Care policies and procedures, Clinical Governance framework and local and corporate Clinical Risk Management.

    Key areas of responsibility

  • To assist the RM and support the clinical teams in the operation of all units, to ensure high quality effective, safe delivery of care is maintained for all residents.
  • The post holder is responsible for promoting the values of PJ Care in all aspects of care delivery and to promote and ensure that all staff adhere to PJ Care policies and procedures, identifying any areas of concern to the line manager and RM, working with staff and management to rectify any areas of deviation.
  • To undertake audits as requested and directed by the RM, or line manager identifying good practice and areas of improvement that are needed. Assisting the units in formulating dynamic action plans and monitoring and assisting in the completion of any actions.
  • To identify areas of training needs by reporting findings to the line manager and to ensure that staff compliance with training remains within the required areas of completion through effective liaison with the training department and senior site management.
  • Monitoring and ensuring accurate and succinct record keeping, is delivered by all staff to maintain the safety of the residents
  •  Maintaining effective communication and information sharing within the team to ensure safe and individualised delivery of care to every resident in line with their wishes and needs.
  • To be aware of the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, having regards for professional bodies outside PJ Care.
  • To assist with care delivery when required on the units
  • To contribute and promote to new ways of working which support and contribute towards site and corporate objectives and improvement programmes.
  • To undertake reviews and audits highlighting lessons learned and sharing any changes to practice through local site governance systems.

The weekly working hours will be 40 Hours per week working Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, weekend and evening work maybe required depending on the business needs.
