Scout Recruiting is partnering with their market leading client located near to Peterborough, to recruit for a Quality Manager. You will be part of a busy, hardworking but friendly environment with a company that design, sell, manufacture and service all on one site.

We are looking for a proactive and committed person with a background in Quality within an Engineering environment.

This is a permanent full-time 40 hour a week role. Salary expectation £38,000 - £46,000 DOE along with a Profit Share Bonus after 12 months continuous employment with the company. 23 days holiday plus bank holidays increasing after 5 years employment and company sick pay.

Start date for this role is 29th July 2024

Duties to include: -

  • Maintain and improve the company’s quality procedures, standards and specifications.
  • Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
  • Actively improve and maintain ISO9001 quality management systems and conduct internal audits and be responsible for their external audit.
  • Review existing policies and procedures and make suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them.
  • Work closely with the other teams to help coordinate and investigate customer complaints or issues, identifying root causes and implementing timely corrective and preventative actions.
  • Be involved in, monitor and check off all vehicles leaving the factory be it for demonstration, shows or customer builds. Help with any queries raised to fore fill both internal and external expectations to prevent on site issues. Be proactive in this area.
  • Raise internal paperwork where required for warranty jobs.
  • Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers (Partners) and arrange site visits.
  • Check specific items on arrival for basic quality or items that are CTQ.
  • Liaise with suppliers (Partners) for continual feedback and work with their own specific methods for warranty / quality issues.
  • Maintain all calibration records and check calibration of equipment.
  • Attend and coordinate internal meetings as required, with appropriate data for checking improvements.
  • Record and monitor internal stoppages and help push through long term resolutions.

Candidate Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in metal and metal/alloy processing, inspection, and finish preparation.
  • Background in quality management and good working knowledge of ISO9001:2015
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Quality Role
  • Expertise in internal and external Quality Audits
  • You will be required to have excellent multi-tasking skills, analytic / investigative attributes with a strong attention to detail as well as being flexible and adaptable.
  • You should have excellent Microsoft skills, good customer service and communication skills,
  • A qualification in Quality or problem-solving techniques would be an advantage, but not a requirement.

In addition, you will be a well organised effective communicator with strong business acumen and have ambition to progress the business. Be flexible in your approach to the job and be willing and able to perform other tasks outside normal duties.
