About the Role:

The Security Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and supporting the daily onsite and technical operations of our security department, focusing on servicing and reactive calls. You will lead and develop a diverse team of engineers, ensuring a high standard of customer service and technical excellence. You will work closely with the MSR Engineering Manager to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of our security solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Leadership: Supervise and lead your team of engineers, monitoring performance using KPIs to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Develop and implement training and development plans to drive technical and personal growth within the team.

  • Technical Management: Provide high-level technical support to both your engineering team and the wider business. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the security sector.

  • Onsite Support & Customer Relationships: Offer onsite support for service-related issues within your technical skillset. Resolve high-level technical problems and conduct site visits as needed to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

  • Dispute Resolution & Communication: Proactively handle customer disputes from both technical and relational perspectives. Communicate updates clearly to all stakeholders until the issue is resolved and the customer is satisfied.

  • Resource Management Support: Assist the Customer Success Team in scheduling and resource allocation for the engineering team. Use your understanding of team skillsets and job requirements to ensure efficient use of engineering capacity.

  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce high-level quality control procedures and standards within the team. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance and implement corrective actions for any non-conformities.

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure your team adheres to health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safe working practices. Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety measures.

  • Collaboration: Work with other engineering supervisors to align practices and maintain consistency across departments. Represent your team in senior leadership meetings, providing technical expertise as required.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of engineering activities, including training and performance data. Support the management team with regular reporting on team performance.

  • High level of technical knowledge within the security industry.
  • Proven experience in leading, inspiring, engaging, and developing a diverse team of engineers.
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • High levels of self-motivation, organisation, and dedication, with a commitment to performing duties with integrity.
