About the Role:

The Fire & Security Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our fire and security business. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and developing strategies to achieve business targets. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure the delivery of tailored solutions that meet client needs and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the fire and security sector. Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the company's market presence.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape. Use this information to develop strategic plans and make informed business decisions.

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth. Work closely with the sales team to set targets, monitor performance, and adjust strategies as needed.

  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals to potential clients, including detailed costings, project plans, and technical specifications. Ensure proposals align with client requirements and company capabilities.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and project management, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions. Provide feedback and insights to improve service offerings and operational efficiency.

  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project progress. Provide regular reports to senior management on business development activities, performance metrics, and market trends.

  • Networking: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions. Build a strong network of industry contacts to enhance business opportunities and promote the company’s brand.

About You:

  • Proven track record in business development within the fire and security sector or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of fire and security solutions, including current industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies and meet or exceed targets.
  • Highly motivated and results-driven, with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders.
