We are currently looking out for a Supervisor to look after general reactive maintenance repairs in the social housing industry. You will be working with one of the leading main contractors within the social housing sector. You will be playing a crucial role in ensuring that all works are completed smoothly and being a point of call for operatives, assisting where needed and always adhering to health and safety procedures.  

Your day to day role as a Supervisor will look like: 

  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance operatives and contractors in responding to reactive maintenance requests.
  • Inspect properties to identify repair and maintenance needs, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate the allocation of work orders, scheduling repairs, and managing the team's daily activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, materials used, and costs incurred.
  • Monitor budgets and costs, making recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and address their concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination on housing-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management regarding the status of maintenance operations.
  • Be part of the onboarding processes. 

Qualifications needed for the Supervisor role: 

  • Trade qualification - NVQ/City and Guilds 
  • SSSTS/SMSTS
  • Relevant experience in social housing

  • Based in Croydon
  • Temp - perm (contract offered after probation)
  • Van and Fuel card provided 
  • Competitive salary (Up to £50k)
