Resourcing Group have an exciting opportunity to join the multinational electric utility company. My client is looking for a Operations Manager in London

Job Role

The role requires someone with an exceptional understanding within the BMS/energy sectors and district heating systems for operations. Ensuring that all works secured meet the minimum margin, safeguarding people, and expectations of the business to achieve the regional targets. Daily interaction with customers, sub-contractors and colleagues is a crucial element of the role and as such demands a person with a positive attitude, superb communication, and organisation skills.

Working closely with the Regional Director to achieve the District Heating & Energy Centre (CES) targets, this role requires effective communication and confident engagement with both our client base and wider teams

Job responsibilities

  • Review and own P&L to ensure it is managed correctly and errors investigated/corrected
  • Forecast labour requirements to ensure projects, service contracts and reactive calls are resourced correctly.
  • Job ownership and sales responsibility for multiple projects/T&Ms varying in size, scope, value and delivered to the Client's satisfaction.
  • Manage H&S responsibilities - Implement, promote and monitor E. ON safe systems of work on assigned T&M's / projects including CDM, production and issue of Method Statements and Risk Assessments documents.
  • Recognise the importance of company procedures and processes and adhere to these to deliver a high standard of customer service.
  • Technically support Field Engineers/Administrators to assist in resolving site and control product issues.
  • Review service engineers reports for technical content, ensuring all reports are submitted to clients within agreed company performance targets.
  • Day to day management of the service administration team.
  • Oversee and manage small works to an agreed value and to the Client's satisfaction.
  • Ensure all customer invoices/part invoices/applications are submitted on time with all necessary information in order that payment will be secured.
  • Working with finance to ensure payments are made by the client within the terms and conditions of the contract.

Experience & Knowledge Required

Candidates should ideally have a minimum of five years' experience in the BMS Industry.

Ideally have a minimum of 2 years' experience in the energy sector.

Ideally have experience in a management role

Customer Service Skills - ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Use of Excel, Word & Outlook, and in-house Management database & Financial systems.
